Evidence of applying filters, transistions and effects ehancing meaning

Here I am applying a filter to the audio so that it may attempt at removing the unwanted noise in which can be heard within this scene this is so that the final production is as best as it can be along with ensuring the it serves its purpose and enhance the affect in which which we were going for in the scene through the use of suspense.

Here I am working on the transition between the death scene of the teacher to the title in which we had planned on using as it was a good conclusion for the opening of the movie. This is used to enhance the feeling of suspense created via the audio in which is used within the scene above in order to best fit the atmosphere.

Here I am working on the effect on the audio being used here in order to make the audio of the character as to make his voice sound better this is due to the fact it was not as loud as would be preferable and would take away from the production thus the audio was altered in order to help show this characters personality to give the audience a better understanding with the narrative.

Evidence of exporting

Here in the first image I am saving the project ensuring that the work was done properly as well as to ensure that encase anything happens the work will be fine. This will be keeping safe the audio that was recorded along with all the additional edits in which were made to the production.

Here I am selecting the correct format as the master file to export the production so that it can then be saved onto the computer in which I was working on and allow for the needed uploading on to the platform known as YouTube.

Here I am checking the settings before the file was exported ensuring that they were correct as well as ensuring that the everything was there for my part of the production.

Analysing post production techniques

One post production technique that is used in order to create meaning is the adding of sound in order to create suspense within my part of the production. Within the sequence sound is used towards the very end in order to create suspense from the use of music. This was done so that it leaves the audience wondering what is going on within the narrative as well as what could happen next thus making them interested and want to know the answer. Hence how this post production technique has been used to create meaning through adding sound as a means to create suspense within the narrative and making people wanting to know what is to happen next.

Another post production technique that is used in order to create meaning is the use of transitions within the production in order to create suspense. Through 1:07 to 1:09 there are several jump cuts in which were used in order to create the flashing effect that is evident within the scene. This is used to create suspense as the audience are suddenly greeted with the flashing of the scenes in which they are being shown and are left wondering what is to happen next. Hence how this post production technique has been used in order to create meaning through the use of transitions.

A third post production technique that is used within the production that is used in order to create meaning is the use of sound within the production. This is most evident during the sequence at 1:09 to 1:21 there is a blackout scene where nothing can be seen only the noise in which is being generated can be heard. This noise is used to create suspense as the audience is not able to visually see what is going on within the narrative and instead must paint the picture for themselves thus making them yearn to see the rest of film. Hence how this third post production technique has been used within the narrative through the use of suspense created by audio as well as a lack of visual information in order to support them.

Codes and Conventions

One code and convention that is used within my half of the production is the use of a weapon within the narrative which is used to cause harm. This can be seen at 1:23 of my half where the teacher character has been stabbed with the weapon and is now lying there deceased because of its use. Within the genre it is typical for violence to occur as a means of keeping the audience watching on there feet as they are seeing the narrative unfold. This is done with tension which them to question what will happen next thus keeping their interest.  Hence how the code and convention of harm is used with the fate of the teacher in order to keep the audience interested with the narrative and keep them wondering as to what is going to happen next.

Another code and convention that has been used within my half of the production is with the creation of suspense due to the choice of music that can be heard. This can be heard at the end of my half of the production where the music comes in at the end along with the title of the film. This is used to create suspense as with the ending of introduction of introduction being left at a cliff hanger it the use of music is creating suspense as it leaves the audience wondering what is happening next within the narrative and as of such makes them want to know what happens next. Hence how another code and convention is used within my half of the production to create suspense through the use of music at the end.

A third code and convention that has been used within my half of the production is through the use of editing that is used in order to create tension that is within the narrative. This can be seen between 1:06 and 1:21 of my half of the production where the lights go out and everyone in the room begins to panic. This is creating tension as we are not providing a visual image of what is occurring simple using audio in order to convey what is occurring. This is done so deliberately that it leaves the audience wondering what is going on thus making them whish to continue further, Hence how a third code and convention has been used within the narrative in order to build tension as well as keeping the audience interested in what is occurring.
