Editing

The fast paste editing montage has been used within the trailer for the movie in order to properly show off the sub genre of the thriller. From 0:50 to 1:38 of the trailer the fast paste editing of the trailer kicks in with the montage showing off what the main protagonist is willing to do in order to get his daughter back. To the audience is will build suspense for them as they do not know what he will be willing to do in order to get his daughter back or what might happen to her a result of it which is typically of the thriller genre to create suspense.







Sounds

Diegetic sounds of conflict have been used here within
the trailer implying a large amount of violence will be taking place as a result of the protagonists daughters kidnapping. Between 1:05 to 1:14 showing the violent actions that the protagonist is willing to do in order to find his lost daughter. This is typical of the thriller genre as violence is one of the main conventions of thriller and the trailer is showing a large amount of it. To the audience they are in suspense as they see the protagonist is willing to commit a large amount of pain onto others in order to find his daughter making them wonder what else he will do in order to find his daughter.

Shot




Within the trailer a close up shot is used on the face of his daughter when she sees her friend being attacked and then being kidnapped showing her fear as she watches a serous crime is taking place. Here at 0:34 to 0:36 we see half of the screen her frightened face as she watches her friend being kidnapped and on the other half the men who are taking her friend and who are removing said obstacle. This is building suspense as this is what starts of what the narrative and gives the protagonist motivation to save his daughter from the series crime that is taking place.

Mise en scene

Within the trailer for spectre multiple areas can be seen with the main protagonist with them within the montage taking place showing of the different locations of which the protagonist will go. i.e. the 1:09 or 1:25. Here the mise en scene in the trailers is constantly changing suggesting that the protagonist in order to find his daughter has to go to multiple different locations in order achieve his goals. For the audience suspense is built of the fast paste editing is showing off a many locations which means that the protagonist could have a large amount of work to do before finding his daughter creating suspense as they are unaware of what is waiting for him at each of these locations.

Sound 


Non diegetic sounds of  background music within the trailer is used to create suspense during the action sequence with Mr Bond entering conflict. From 1:45 to 2:25 when James Bond is escaping the villains and enters the action montage the music is used to create suspense as to when he is doing different feats. This is creating suspense for the audience as they are seeing James Bond as he is doing daring feat after daring feat with the music building the suspense of the events that are occurring with the music in the background going to the sequence taking place.

Editing



Fast paste editing is taking place within the trailer showing of the serious crime that is taking place and the ways in which James Bond was trying to stop those that are doing so. This can be seen from 1:45 to 2:18 where James Bond is doing many of daring feats in an attempts to stop the antagonists from enacting their plans against him. This is building suspense for the audience as they see violence in this scenes as a means to take out an obstacle that they are facing leaving the audience with suspense as they do not now what is going to happen.

Mise en scene


Within the trailer mise-en scene has been used in order to create suspense through the introduction of the antagonist of the film. From 1:15 to 1:44 there are couple scenes within a montage with a large amount of people gathered round a table with their leader at the head who identifies who James Bond is and where he is positioned within the room. This is building suspense as the audience do no have much information on this character only that he is some how connected to James Bond as most antagonists are within thrillers creating suspense through a lack of knowledge.

Shot


In the trailer for spectre there is a close up shot used when a memorial is in frame showing that James Bond has been written on their in a red colouring giving a sense of mystery. In 1:24 to 1:27 The memorial is dedicated to those that have died in service for their country implying it could be for agents that have died but the fact Bonds name is there is showing that someone wants him dead and that it is personal. This mystery with the audience is creating suspense as they do not know who has written his name there and why leaving them desired to want to watch the film in order to find out.
